He writes his poems and thoughts on the canvas, or visualizes famous icons through their stories, biographies, original sounds and song lyrics. Frank Hummel 10 FRANK HUMMEL Schon immer kreativ gewesen, widmet sich Frank Hummel nach einem Ausflug in die Musik seit 2015 intensiv dem Schreiben und seinen Text-Kunst-Objekten. Er selbst bezeichnet sich als Extremtexter zwischen Apathie und Größenwahn. Kunst ist für ihn „der furchtlose Blick in die Seele und der Mut, das Gefundene zu teilen - totlachen, grübeln, feuchte Augen, alles drin ..." Having always been creative, Frank Hummel is dedicating himself intensively to writing and his text-art objects since 2015 after exploring the world of music. He describes himself as an extreme lyricist between apathy and megalomania. For him, art is “the fearless look into the soul and the courage to share what you find - laughing your head off, reflecting, teary eyes, it’s all there ...” Créatif depuis toujours, Frank Hummel, après une expérience musicale, se consacre intensément depuis 2015 à l'écriture et à ses textesobjets d'art. Il se définit lui-même comme un parolier de l'extrême, entre apathie et mégalomanie. Pour lui, l'art est « le regard intrépide dans l'âme et le courage de partager ce que l'on trouve - rire à gorge déployée, réflexion, émotion, tout y est ... ».

12 Barbara Freundlieb Vor einigen Jahren fand Barbara Freundlieb, eine gebürtige Rhein-länderin und promovierte Biologin, den Weg zur Kunst und Malerei. Sie illustriert Bücher und Gedichte und bringt mit spitzem Bleistift alles zu Papier, was ihr im Alltag so begegnet. Die Beobachtung des Menschlichen, Zwischenmenschlichen und ein ironischer Blick auf sich selbst sind Inspiration für ihre Zeichnungen. Barbara Freundlieb, born in German Rhineland and later distinguished with a PhD in Biology, found her way to art and painting a couple of years ago. She illustrates books and poems and follows everyday life with her sharp pencil. The ins and outs of human nature and an ironic look on herself inspire her drawings. Barbara Freundlieb, née en Rhénanie en Allemagne, plus tard dotée d’un doctorat en Biologie, a trouvé son chemin vers les arts et la peinture il y a quelques années. Elle crée des illustrations de livres et de poèmes et suit la vie de tous les jours avec son crayon bien pointu. Peter Schnellhardt 24 PETER SCHNELLHARDT Peter Schnellhardt, geboren 1961 in Coburg, arbeitete nach seiner Ausbildung zum Spielzeugdesigner als Zeichner und Modelleur. Mit seiner Leidenschaft für das Zeichnen und der Malerei entstanden Buchillustrationen und Grafikarbeiten. Seine Motive wirken spontan und spielerisch. Elephant 37 Goebel Porzellan unterstützt den Verein "Rettet die Elefanten Afrikas e.V." seit 2017 mit Waisen-Patenschaften und seit 2018, zusätzlich, mit Teilen des Erlöses jeder verkauften Elefantenfigur. Die Spenden werden für Futter, Decken, Löhne der Pfleger, die medizinische Versorgung der Tiere und vieles mehr benötigt. Ein Teil des Geldes kommt darüber hinaus dem Schutz wilder Elefantenherden zugute. Denn nur, wenn die Sicherheit der wildlebenden Elefanten gewährleistet ist, wird auch die Zukunft der Waisen gesichert sein, die später wieder Anschluss an die Herden finden sollen. Goebel Porzellan has been supporting the association “Rettet die Elefanten Afrikas e.V.” (Safe the Elephants of Africa) with orphan sponsorships since 2017 and since 2018 with portions of the proceeds from every elephant figurine sold. The donations are needed for food, blankets, wages for the keepers, medical care for the animals and much more. Part of the money will also be used to protect wild elephant herds. Because only if the safety of the wild elephants is guaranteed, the future of the orphans, who will later rejoin the herds, will be secured. MARY ENGEBREIT Die Künstlerin ist am 5. Juni 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri geboren und lebt bis heute dort. Ihre Firma, Anfang der 1980er gegründet, managed Mary Engelbreit und Mary & Co., zwei in den USA sehr erfolgreiche Marken. Ihre Kunst ist vielseitig und reicht über Gemälde, illustrierte Bücher und Grußkarten bis hin zu verschiedenen Accessoires mit ihren beliebten Motiven. Vor allem Kindheitserinnerungen bilden die Grundlage für die farbenfrohen Muster, Umrandungen und Kinderillustrationen. Marys Kunst ist eine Mischung aus dem typischen „American way of Christmas“ und ihrer eigenen Erfahrungs- und Vorstellungswelt. The artist was born on June the 5th 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri, where she still lives. Her company, founded in the early 1980s, manages Mary Engelbreit and Mary & Co., two very successful brands in the USA. Her artwork includes paintings, illustrated books and cards as well as many different accessories reproducing her work. Especially her childhood memories inspire her colorful pattern and framings as well as her children’s illustrations. Mary’s artwork is a combination of the typical „American way of Christmas“ and her own world of experiences and imagination. (Vanellus vanellus) … ist mit seinen metallisch schimmernden Flügeln und der markanten Federhaube am Kopf, der Holle, ein echter Hingucker. Bekannt ist der "Gaukler der Lüfte" auch für seine spektakulären Balzflüge und den einprägsamen Ruf. Als Vogel des Jahres steht er für Artenvielfalt in der Agrarlandschaft, denn wie viele andere Wiesenbrüter ist der Kiebitz stark gefährdet. Als Zugvogel kehrt der Kiebitz früh im Jahr nach Bayern zurück. Er ist standorttreu und besetzt, wenn möglich, dasselbe Brutrevier wie im Vorjahr. Ursprünglich war er ein Vogel der Moore und Feuchtwiesen, da er die Nähe zum Wasser bevorzugt. Doch weil diese oft trockengelegt wurden, weicht er mittlerweile auf Ackerflächen aus. Seine vier Eier legt das Weibchen im Frühjahr gut getarnt gegen Fressfeinde in ein Nest am Boden. Der Kiebitz ist etwa taubengroß. Auffallend ist der Kontrast zwischen der schwarzen Oberseite mit grünlich schimmerndem Metallglanz und der weißen Unterseite mit schwarzem Brustband. Das Weibchen erscheint insgesamt schlichter und hat eine kürzere Holle. Bei der Futtersuche am Boden lockt der Kiebitz verschiedene Bodentiere durch sogenanntes Fußtrillern oder Bodenklopfen hervor, das Regen simulieren soll. Aufgrund von Veränderungen in unserer Landschaft ist der Kiebitz in Bayern stark gefährdet. Um ihm wieder Lebensraum zu bieten, ist es wichtig, Auen und Niederungen zu renaturieren und Feuchtwiesen wieder zu vernässen. Es hilft bekannte Brutplätze intensiv zu überwachen, da menschliche Eingriffe wie frühzeitiges Mähen und das Trockenlegen von Flächen zur landwirtschaftlichen Nutzung den Lebensraum des Kiebitzes zerstören.
